JOB DESCRIPTION: Night Photography Guide - Fuerteventura (Part-Time)

….Love the island? Love photography? StarsByNight is looking for a Photography Guide to lead fellow enthusiasts to the island’s most stunning nocturnal locations. We aren't necessarily looking for a veteran photographer, we’re looking for a passionate shooter who loves the outdoors and knows their way around a camera, leading guests to the island’s best kept secrets and help them capture the magic of the night sky and rugged landscapes. You have a solid grasp of photography fundamentals and a portfolio that shows your passion for the craft.

• Location Scouting. Lead guests to prime spots where the island's landscape meets the stars.You’re at home in the wild and love being outdoors as much as you love being behind the viewfinder.

• Knowledge & Skills: Help guests navigate their own gear. You should be comfortable discussing the exposure triangle, balancing Aperture, Shutter Speed, and ISO. Assist with composition and framing to ensure guests leave with shots they’re proud to post. You understand how different cameras work and can help a hobbyist find the right settings in the dark. Experience with Post-Processing (Lightroom/Photoshop) is a huge plus! While not essential, being able to chat about editing workflows adds great value to our guests. Please note: We are not providing training for this role; you should already be comfortable with these techniques.

• Equipment: Ideally, you have your own camera and tripod to use as examples during the tour.

• Transport: You must have a reliable car to reach various locations across the island.

• Nature Connection: Share your genuine love for the environment and the unique beauty of the island after dark.

• Languages: Languages are an advantage, ideally you will be able to speak English and Spanish. 

Schedule & Wage:

• Part-time: Shifts are scheduled around the New Moon (the darkest 10-14 days of the month).

• Wage: depending on experience.

No buscamos necesariamente a un fotógrafo veterano, sino a alguien apasionado por la fotografía, amante de la naturaleza y con conocimientos de manejo de la cámara, que guíe a los huéspedes a los secretos mejor guardados de la isla y les ayude a capturar la magia del cielo nocturno y los paisajes escarpados. Tienes un dominio sólido de los fundamentos de la fotografía y un portfolio que demuestra tu pasión por este arte.

Búsqueda de localizaciones. Lleva a los huéspedes a los mejores lugares donde el paisaje de la isla se une con las estrellas. Te sientes como en casa en la naturaleza y te encanta estar al aire libre tanto como estar detrás del visor.

Conocimientos y habilidades: Ayuda a los huéspedes a manejar su propio equipo.
