JOB DESCRIPTION: ASTRONOMER/STAR GUIDE

We're seeking 1-2 passionate individuals to join our team as Star Guides. While a Star Guide qualification is ideal, we're also open to training the right candidate who shares our enthusiasm for astronomy and nature and is eager to learn.

An ESSENTIAL skill is communication and controlling groups of people.

Qualified Astronomer or Star Guide - autonomo or contract (to be discussed) around 170€ per observation, min. 9 x star observations per month.

Unqualified (but willing to learn) - a key part of you job will be to collect the guests and bring them to the observation point. You act as a support role to the Star Guide, constantly learning on the job (just like I did). There will be the opportunity, to partake in the STARLIGHT GUIA course.

As you will be driving the work van, you will need to be under contract and covered under our insurance and transport license regulations.

Wages start from 60€ per observation, min. 12x star observations per month.

Opportunity to increase earnings through training and experience, with 170€ per observation being your goal.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Languages - English and Spanish (German is an advantage).

  • Willingness to learn

DESCRIPCIÓN DEL PUESTO: GUÍA ASTRONÓMICO

Estamos buscando de 1 a 2 personas apasionadas para unirse a nuestro equipo como Guías Astronómicos. Si bien la cualificación como Guía Astronómico es ideal, también estamos abiertos a capacitar al candidato adecuado que comparta nuestro entusiasmo por la astronomía y la naturaleza y esté ansioso por aprender.

Una habilidad ESENCIAL es la comunicación y el control de grupos de personas.

Astrónomo Calificado o Guía Astronómico: autónomo o por contrato (a discutir) alrededor de 170 € por observación, mínimo 9 observaciones estelares por mes.

Sin Cualificación (pero con ganas de aprender) - Una parte clave de tu trabajo será recoger a los huéspedes y llevarlos al punto de observación. Actuarás como apoyo al Guía Estelar, aprendiendo constantemente en el trabajo (tal y como lo hice yo). Tendrás la oportunidad de participar en el curso STARLIGHT GUIA. Dado que conducirás la furgoneta de trabajo, deberás estar contratado y cubierto por nuestro seguro y las regulaciones de la licencia de transporte. Los salarios comienzan en 60€ por observación, mínimo 12 observaciones estelares por mes. Oportunidad de aumentar los ingresos a través de la formación y la experiencia, con 170€ por observación como objetivo.

Requisitos:

  • Permiso de conducir válido

  • Excelentes habilidades de comunicación

  • Idiomas: Inglés y español (el alemán es una ventaja)

  • Disposición para aprender

  • Un CV simple, indicando los idiomas hablados, con las calificaciones relevantes, cualquier experiencia laboral (de cualquier tipo) y una carta de presentación sobre por qué cree que trabajaría bien dentro del equipo, a karen@starsbynight.es
